Fresh Start: Healthy Cooking with Naomi of Lunchette - Jan 16
Join Chef/Owner Naomi Crawford of Petaluma’s beloved Lunchette for a wholesome and nourishing cooking class at the Sonoma Family Meal Kitchen. This class will focus on healthy dishes to help you start the year feeling your freshest! Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting out, this class will offer a fun learning environment, while also supporting Sonoma Family Meal!
Naomi Crawford is part-owner/chef of Lunchette, a grab-and-go restaurant in Petaluma where the ingredients are hyper-local/seasonal, with produce, meats, cheeses and eggs coming from organic & regenerative farms. She has been cooking for more than 35 years and believes that being part of a food system means taking care that all parts of that system thrive. “My purpose is to nourish my community, from the soil to the marginalized and all those in between, with the food I make and the actions I take.” Her restaurant is Blue Zones Certified, has the Slow Food Snail of Approval, is part of Zero Foodprint, and has received both an ethics award from Rotary and the Green Resolution from Zero Waste Sonoma.
In this hands-on 2.5 hour class, you will learn the breakdown of how to prepare each dish step by step, and work in teams under the Chef's guidance. Finally, you will enjoy the meal together family style! We provide the recipes to take home.
If you haven’t been to the SFM Kitchen yet, this class is also the perfect chance to visit and experience where the magic takes place and how SFM work gets done.
